About WeFund CIC

WeFund CIC is a nationwide community interest company created to widen access to practical learning opportunities for young people.

The journey began with VeloBuild, an enriching learning programme developed by All Things Active.

Originally inspired by a simple idea, helping children step away from screens and build bikes by hand, VeloBuild quickly proved to be something much bigger.

After seeing the powerful impact on confidence, engagement and practical skills, the programme expanded into schools, particularly supporting learners in SEN and alternative provision settings.

As demand grew, so did one clear challenge: many schools did not have the budget to access the programme and consequently many learners lost out. 

WeFund was created to solve that challenge.

Today, we work with schools, funders and community partners to increase access through blended funding models that combine subsidised places with fully funded opportunities.

Our mission is simple:

To open access to practical, hands-on learning for more young people who face barriers to opportunity.
