Excellent Scheme
Took a student along for a three session bike building project. The set up is fantastic and the instructor, (Jade) was so patient and calm, taking time to really make sure my student knew what he needed to do and why.
I cannot fault this scheme and am looking forward to bringing more students in the future.

Velobuild building confidence as well as bikes!
Velobuild have been part of our school now for over a year. Each visit Matt & Shaun take great care & time to not only teach students how to build a bike from scratch, but, help build their confidence, each student has felt great proudness in their achievement & ability to succeed. Many thanks

Velo Project at St Joseph's Specialist Trust
Our nine special needs students ended the course very proud of all they had achieved and were thrilled to take their bikes home and get cycling. The sturdy stabilisers made a huge difference to those who required them.
Matt Drewrey, out trainer, was outstanding. He was patient with our students, adjusted his language so it was simple and concise and allowed students processing time. His demonstrations were clear and always informed all on health and safety points. The staff gained a lot from this course too.
We now have 9 keen riders with a growing knowledge of bike maintenance.

We have had the guys come into our…
We have had the guys come into our school a few times. We have found our young people really enjoy the chance to build a bike from start to finish. Our young people have all kinds of educational needs, and the team have always been very supportive and flexible regarding them. Great company and amazing team of friendly professionals that do a fantastic job.

We had the pleasure of working with Shaun on our velobuild project.

Shaun was well organised and pitched the sessions just right for our cohort. Our students responded well and learned skills that will be able to apply to future projects. We would highly recommend velobuild and Shaun for SEMH settings and learners who need creative approaches to sustain engagement and learn practical skills.

The velobuild academy

Seeing vulnerable young adults engaging with a fantastic well structured practical program was amazing. These young people who may not have been given opportunities embraced working with Mark our instructor. All young adults said how Mark was really approachable and how much they enjoyed working with him.

Matt delivered the Velobuild programme to two of our pupils today. His calm, personable manner with the boys enabled them to fully engage and enjoy the day. The boys learned so many new skills and have new bikes to show for it!

Our instructor Matt was great at engaging with our group of young people in our SEN setting. So much so that they refused break time and wanted to carry on with the workshop! A fantastic way for young people to gain new skills and build confidence as well as bikes!
